In this new era of publishing, a writer, arguably, has more chance of becoming a successful author than at any other time in the last fifty years. That’s the opening line of my 500-word manifesto, “A Manifesto for Authors’ Marketplace Success“, which has just been published at Futurebook.
This is part of a series of manifestos on the future of digital publishing, and leading up to FutureBook 2015 where a range of participants will be invited to deliver a five-minute Manifesto for the Future of the Book Business.
FutureBook 2015 is The Bookseller Futurebook Conference, the largest digital publishing conference in Europe. It brings together leading thinkers in publishing, retail, editorial, writing, marketing and tech, along with speakers from other industries.
I won’t be able to get to London for this event, but I was pleased to be able to contribute to the discussion through this brief manifesto.
